The next Artist’s Edition from Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 will be a grab-bag of classic DC stories and covers from the mid-1950s through the 1960s. DC Silver Age Covers and Stories Artist’s Edition will include over 75 covers, including Carmine Infantino’s Flash #123, with the first appearance of Earth-Two, and Superman #199, depicting Flash racing with Superman; The Brave and the Bold #34 by Joe Kubert, marking the first appearance of the Silver Age Hawkman; and Gil Kane’s cover of Showcase #17 that introduced Adam Strange. The book will also include all the interior pages from Green Lantern #1 and complete stories from The Flash, Action Comics #282, Sugar and Spike, and more, with an introduction by writer Mark Waid. The oversized hardcover will have a trim size of 15” x 22” and will be released by Act 4, in partnership with Skybound, in comic shops on November 4, 2026 and in bookstores on December 1, with two covers, one exclusive to the direct market, by Carmine Infantino. MSRP will be $195.
“This book captures the breadth of the amazing work from the Silver Age,” Senior Editor Nachie Marsham said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Some of the most foundational moments and visuals in comics can be found in this Artist’s Edition. It’s a real visual feast.”
