Doctor Strange OGN, 'Dune Messiah,' New Manga by Inio Asano and 'Blue Lock' Creator

Abrams ComicArts and the Abrams manga imprint Kana have announced their full Fall 2026 catalog, which includes an original Doctor Strange graphic novel, the first volume of the Dune Messiah adaptation, and new manga by Inio Asano and the writer of Blue Lock.

Doctor Strange: Endless Nightmare, by writer Kevin J. Anderson and artists Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín, takes Stephen Strange on a surrealistic trip to the Nightmare Realm as he tries to unwind the mystery inside the mind of one of his patients. The graphic novel is part of the MarvelArts line that is curated by Alex Ross (see “Abrams ComicArts Launching Marvel Graphic Novel Line”), and the creators are the same team responsible for Abrams’ graphic adaptation of Dune (see “‘Dune’ Gets Graphic Novel Treatment”). Doctor Strange: Endless Nightmare will be a 64-page hardcover with a release date of September 8, 2026, and an MSRP of $25.99.

And speaking of Dune

Dune Messiah, Book 1, adapted by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson and artist Michael Shelfer, starts off Abrams’ next Dune graphic novel series with the first of two volumes timed to hit shortly before the Christmas Day premiere of the film (see “Best in Shows – 2026”). The 140-page hardcover is set for November 3 release with an MSRP of $25.99.

Before Dawn and the End of the World, by Inio Asano, from the manga imprint Kana, is a collection of 10 early short stories by the creator of Solanin, Nijigahara Holograph, and the Eisner-nominated Goodnight Punpun. Abrams will release the one-volume collection under its Kana imprint on November 10 as a 280-page paperback with an MSRP of $24.99.

Jagaan, Vol. 1, by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Kensuke Nishida, another Kana title, is a dark, action-filled manga about a policeman with a twisted mind in a world where everyone is suddenly turning into monsters. Kaneshiro is the creator of the best-selling soccer manga Blue Lock. The first volume, a 192-page paperback, will go on sale on September 1 with an MSRP of $12.99.

Two more upcoming ComicArts titles delve into 20th century history: Miss Greene’s Secret, by Nicolas Antona and Nina Jacqmin, is a graphic biography of Belle da Costa Greene, who passed as White during the Jim Crow era and became the powerful director of the Morgan Library (September 8, hardcover, $25.99), and Framing Emmett Till: Exposing Dark Fear, by Christopher Benson and Eric Battle, follows a Black writer investigating the lynching of the 14-year-old boy; Benson is the writer of the nonfiction book of the same name and draws on the memories of Till’s mother, Mamie Till-Mobley (October 6, hardcover, $27.99).

Previously announced Fall 2026 books include Marvel Dimensions, by Alex Ross (see “‘Marvel Dimensions’”), and new solo graphic novels by March artist Nate Powell (see “Nate Powell”) and My Friend Dahmer and Kent State creator Derf Backderf (see “Derf Backderf Digs Into Cartooning History”).
