Hasbro Fills Out Remaining Dates on 'Magic: The Gathering' 2026 Schedule

Also, Reveals Some Key Player Demographics; Over 20% Increase of Unique Players in OP for 2025

Hasbro filled out the remaining release dates for the 2026 Magic: The Gathering schedule.

The information was released in their recent Q4 earnings presentation (see “#3 ‘Magic’ Set of All Time“). WotC had announced the dates for Lorwyn Eclipsed and TMNT in their original 2026 lineup reveal (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ Lineup“) and later, Secrets of Strixhaven and Marvel Super Heroes were unveiled via product line announcements (see “‘Magic: The Gathering – Marvel Super Heroes’“). The new dates added are as follows:

  • The Hobbit releases August 14, 2026 .
  • Reality Fracture releases October 2, 2026.
  • Star Trek releases November 20, 2026.

Hasbro also released some current demographics on Magic players. The presentation revealed that the average age of a Magic tabletop player is 35 years old. This puts the average Magic player in the Millennial generation, the largest consumer demographic in the U.S. The average player tenure in the game is over five years.

There were over a million unique players registered for Organized Play in 2025; this an over 20% year-over-year increase from 2024 (according to the presentation). There are also now over 10,000 stores in the Wizards Play Network (WPN).
