Buffalo Games & Puzzles will release NFL Showdown 2E, a new American football strategy game, into hobby retail on October 1, 2026.
NFL fans can experience the thrill of the Big Game at home with this sports strategy game. In the new edition of this game (original edition was published in 2018), players take on the roles of coaches that call plays in order to outwit their opponent in a head-to-head battle on the gridiron. The game primarily relies on hand management mechanics as players reveal cards to run, pass, or blitz their way to victory.
NFL Showdown 2E is officially-licensed, including all 32 NFL teams, and can be played in a Rookie Mode or Pro Mode, depending on the skill levels of the players. The new edition features updated cover art, components, and more; this game is for two players, ages 8 and up, and will retail for $24.99.
Buffalo Games & Puzzles will release Tecmo Bowl, a new card game, into retail (see ” ‘Tecmo Bowl’“).
