DC Studios released a new Supergirl teaser (see below) with a full shot of Jason Momoa as Lobo (see “‘Supergirl’“). Supergirl will hit theaters on June 26, 2026 (see “Best in Shows — 2026“).
Amazon MGM Studios released a teaser trailer for Masters of the Universe (see below). The movie features Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man (see “Finds a He-Man“), Jared Leto as Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, James Purefoy as King Randor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, and Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms (see “Idris Elba Joins ‘MOTU’“). It hits theaters on June 5, 2026.
Lucasfilm unveiled a teaser for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord (see below). This animated series (see “New Animated ‘Star Wars’ Series“) will begin streaming on Disney+ on April 6, 2026.
Toei Animation announced two new Dragon Ball anime series at Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri, an event in Japan over the weekend: an “enhanced” version of an earlier series and a new arc. The enhanced version is of Dragon Ball Super, which originally launched in 2015 (see “’Dragon Ball Super’“). The new version features new cuts and a rebuilt storyline. All footage has been re-rendered, and sound has also been re-produced, with new dubs, score, and sound effects. It will launch as Dragon Ball Super: Beerus this fall (trailer below). The next totally new Dragon Ball anime series will be Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, based on the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc of the Akira Toriyama manga.
Amazon MGM Studios has greenlit a series based on the Lore Olympus webtoon from WEBTOON Productions and The Jim Henson Company. The series has been in development since 2019 (see “WEBTOON Does Deal with Henson“). Julia Cooperman, who’s worked as a writer on Jupiter’s Legacy, Willow, and other series, will be writer and showrunner.

Prime Video revealed a trailer for Invincible Season 4 (see below). The new season will begin streaming on March 18, 2026. This series has already been renewed for a fifth season (see “‘Invincible’ S4“).
DC Studios has found a director for The Brave and the Bold, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They have attached Christina Hodson, who wrote Birds of Prey (see “‘Birds of Prey’“), to helm the new film. The Brave and the Bold is a new movie centering around Damian Wayne, the son of Batman and Talia al Ghul (see “Ten New Movies and TV Series“).
Netflix has partnered with MAPPA Co., Ltd. to become the exclusive streamer of the Mappa-produced slate of anime. MAPPA-produced titles include Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen (see “‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ S3“). Under the agreement, Netflix will also develop new global projects with MAPPA.Source: ICv2
