Trivium Studios will release Time Rift CCG, a new collectible card game, into retail.
This new CCG is a tactical game where players choose a champion from the annals of history and battle it out with an opponent on a combat grid. The game features historical warriors, such as Miyamoto Musashi, Sparticus, William The Conqueror, and others, that can wield different weapons as well as use various event cards to their advantage. This game is somewhat akin to TriKing’s 2005 History Channel card game, Anachronism (see “Battling Across the Ages“), except it comes in a true collectible booster set format.
The first set has over 240 cards with 40 champions that have their own weapon, armor, inspiration and special cards to collect. There are also alternate art champion cards and foil variants to collect as well as a serialized Rift card to chase in boosters. Booster packs come with 13 cards; booster displays come with 24 and retail for $143.99 each.
Trivium will also release their Starter Game into retail that includes three Battle Decks and a bonus promo pack. It will retail for $24.99. Source: ICv2
