DC Comics is getting the MAD Magazine treatment in MAD About DC, an oversize comic book parody with Chip Zdarsky as Guest Editor. A huge line-up of star creators contribute parodies to the 64-page volume, with the blurb on the Zdarsky variant cover showcasing the tone:
“Featuring Zero Jokes About H2SH Being Late! Not Even a Drawing of Jim Lee Saying, ‘What, Me Hurry?’”
Zdarsky described working on the book this way, “They say at EC there’s nowhere to go but down after writing Batman, and, yeah, it’s true.”
Key pieces will include “A MAD Look at Comic Book Stores,” by Sergio Aragones; “Guy vs. Spy,” by Jim Zub & Ramon Perez, and a brand new DC Fold-In by Charles Soule & Ryan Browne.

The A cover is by Dan “MAD About Gluten Labeling Because It Should Actually Be Clearer or Else What’s the Point” Panosian, with cardstock variants by Simon Bisley and Chip Zdarsky and a foil variant by Panosian.
MAD About DC will be released on April 1 at $7.99 for the regular edition, $8.99 for the cardstock variants, and $10.99 for the foil variant.
