December’s best-sellers were heavy on Shonen Jump manga with anime adaptations, but a handful of other interesting titles also made the Top 20 best-selling Adult graphic novels according to Circana (formerly NPD) BookScan data for November 2025 (11/30/25 – 1/3/26) provided to ICv2.
Jujutsu Kaisen continues its run at the top of the chart, as noted last month (see “November 2025 Circana BookScan“), but with an interesting twist: The top seller in December was Vol. 1, with the most recent volume in second place; Vols. 2 and 26 are in the top 20 as well. With the recent theatrical release followed by the streaming premiere of Season 3 of the anime in January 2026, readers were jumping on board in a big way. Similarly, Vols. 1 and 19 of Chainsaw Man return to the chart with some help from the anime (see “‘Chainsaw Man’ Carves Up BO“).
While there are a lot of Shonen Jump titles on the chart, other categories are showing up as well. Vol. 3 of the yuri romcom The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All debuts at number 9. This series was one of Yen’s best-selling titles of 2025, despite not having an anime (see “Yen Press Top Titles of 2025“). And VIZ Media’s 25th Anniversary Edition of Nana stays on the chart for a third month, showing there is a market for shojo romance.
One Korean and one Chinese title made the chart as well. While the Solo Leveling story is over, the series continues with side stories, and Vol. 14, which was released on December 30, still makes it to number 14. At number 15 is the manhua Heaven Official’s Blessing, based on the novel published by Seven Seas Entertainment (see “Inklore to Publish ‘Heaven Official’s Blessing’“); a different adaptation is also being published by Aloha Comics.
Absolute Batman Vol. 1, on the chart for the fourth time in five months, was the only non-Asian graphic novel in the December Top 20.
