Stonemaier Games revealed new details on Wingspan: Americas Expansion, a new board game expansion, which will be available for preorder on January 21, 2026.
This product was originally previewed as the Wingspan: South America, Central America, and Caribbean Expansion as part of Stonemaier’s 2026 product slate livecast (see “Two ‘Wingspan’ Products“). The new expansion features the birds of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, and was designed by Elizabeth Hargrave with illustrations provided by Natalia Rojas, Ana Maria Martinez Jaramillio, and Martha Clare. Some of the birds included in this expansion are hummingbirds, flamingos, and the snowy albatross.
The expansion focuses on a new type of card that provides a twist to gameplay. Hummingbirds are also key to this expansion as they provide different benefits as they travel between garden boards. There are 111 new bird cards, 8 bonus cards, and 5 end-of-round goal tiles included in this expansion. The expansion, plus the base game, supports one to five players and plays in 60-90 minutes.
