New Asian-Comics Publisher, Crossed Hearts, Plans 30+ New Releases in 2026

Crossed Hearts, a new California-based publisher of East Asian comics and novels with a strong focus on romance, has announced it plans to publish over 30 releases in 2026 and will launch a new yuri imprint, Glam Beat!, as well.

Crossed Hearts publishes print editions of manhwa that have been successful as webtoons (see “A Quick Guide to Webtoon Genres”), with at least 20 million readers worldwide, as well as manga and novels, with plans for Chinese novels and manhua as well.  The first wave of books includes bonus content, such as journal pages, fold-out pages, and character art, plus a limited edition of each volume that comes with extras such as photo cards and shikishi (signature boards).  The manhwa are published in full color with over 350 pages per volume, and overall, prices are comparable to those of other publishers such as Yen Press and Seven Seas Entertainment.  The books are distributed by Ingram/PGW in the USA, Canada, and Latin America, Script UK in the UK and Europe, Simon & Schuster in Australia and New Zealand, and directly to retailers in India and the Middle East.

Although no Glam Beat! titles have been announced yet, the publisher says the imprint will carry a wide range of girls love stories in different genres, including coming-of-age, fantasy, mature relationships, and rom-coms.  Glam Beat! titles will be published in both print and digital formats.
