Marvel will follow up on Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four: First Steps film (see “‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Boffo”) with four one-shots that will focus on the team’s early days. Like Fantastic Four: First Steps #1 (see “‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’”), the one-shots will be set in the universe of the movie and will be presented as “authorized by the Future Foundation.” The first one-shot, Fantastic Four: First Foes #1, by writer Dan Slott and artist Mark Buckingham, pits the newly empowered team against the Mad Thinker. The comic will also include a two-page story by Ryan North that ties into Reed Richards’ educational programming in the film. Fantastic Four: First Foes #1 will go on sale on March 4, 2026, with a main cover by Phil Noto and variants by Noto and Kaare Andrews.
Fantastic Four: First Steps #1 was one of the top selling comics in July 2025 (see “Top 50 Comics – July 2025”).
