Archie Comics, which just signed a publishing deal with Oni Press (see “Archie Licenses IP to Oni Press”), will also continue to publish new material on its own.
“Our current classic Archie publishing plan remains the same, and we’re psyched to see it dovetail with everything Oni has planned,” Archie’s Jesse Post told ICv2. “Archie’s ongoing series include the facsimile editions, the bi-monthly Archie Comics Digest, and standard-sized comics with new material like Archie and Friends, Betty and Veronica: Friends Forever, and the Spectacular annuals. Archie has had a great run of licensed publishing with partners like Dynamite, Little Bee, and Scholastic, all unique opportunities to expand our reach.”
Archie is also launching a new quarterly magazine that will be available on newsstands as well as in comic shops. The first issue, Archie Jumbo Comic Magazine: 85th Anniversary Celebration, will be released on March 18, 2026; the 112-page full-color magazine will have an MSRP of $14.99. Two 32-page comics are also in Archie’s March solicits, Archie Comics 85th Anniversary Presents: Betty & Veronica Pin-Up Special, a one-shot, out on March 25, and Betty and Me #1: Facsimile Edition, a reprint of the 1965 issue featuring work by Dan DeCarlo, George Gladir, Joe Edwards, and other Archie stalwarts, on March 4. All March publications are compilations of classic material, and all covers are by Dan DeCarlo.
