Andrews McMeel will publish a print edition of the webcomic Side Quested, by K.B. Spangler and Alexandra Presser. Side Quested was launched in 2022 on its own site and is also serialized on the Tapas platform. The story follows Charlie, who is training to be a librarian but has to do some quick pivots when her birth father brings her from her rural village to the king’s court. There, the prince falls in love with her, but he’s already engaged to a princess, and when Charlie goes to speak to the princess, more sparks fly. The setting is a magical world with witches and dragons, but the source of the magic is unknown, so the three teens are dispatched to find the source of the magic and perhaps resolve their romantic differences as well. The comic is rated for ages 14-17, and the first volume will be released on March 17, 2026, as a 304-page paperback with an MSRP of $18.99.
