DC Comics continues to add to its line of original graphic novels for young readers with two new titles for May 2026.
Supergirl’s Family Vacation, by writer Brandon T. Snider and artist Sarah Leuver, takes Kara Zor-El on a trip to Argo, the outer-space city that is home to the last survivors of the explosion that destroyed her planet. The 160-page paperback is rated for ages 8-12 and will be released on May 5, 2026, with an MSRP of $12.99.
Galaxy 2: As the World Falls Down, by writer Jadzia Axelrod and artist Rye Hickman, is the sequel to Galaxy: The Prettiest Star, by Axelrod and artist Jess Taylor, which was released in 2022 (see “DC Announces Two More FCBD Titles“). The first graphic novel featured Taylor Barzelay, a.k.a. Galaxy, an alien space princess who came to earth in the guise of a boy and then claimed her true identity as a woman. In this sequel, she has to stand up to the Vane, aliens who have come to Earth in search of her. DC will release the 208-page paperback, rated for ages 13-17, on May 5, 2026, with an MSRP of $16.99.
