DC will publish Compact Comics editions of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and Nightwing: Leaping Into the Light in 2026, along with the previously announced Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Batman: White Knight, and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (see “DC Adds Two More Compact Comics Titles for Early 2026”). Like all DC’s Compact Comics, these collections will have a small (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) trim size and an MSRP of $9.99.
Here’s the lineup from March onward:
- Nightwing: Leaping into the Light, by Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo – March 3
- The Flash: Rebirth, by Geoff Johns, Francis Manapul, and Ethan Van Sciver – March 17
- Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, by Frank Miller – April 7
- Green Arrow: Year One, by Andy Diggle and Jock – May 5
- Gotham Central, by Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka and Michael Lark – May 19
- Superman: Red Son, by Mark Millar, Dave Johnson, and Killian Plunkett – June 2
- Batman: Under the Red Hood, by Judd Winick and Doug Mahnke – June 16
- Batgirl of Burnside, by Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, and Babs Tarr – July 7
- Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One, by Tom Taylor, Jheremy Raapack, and Mike S. Miller – July 21
The Compact Comics line continues to sell well in comic shops (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels – October 2025”) and relatively well in the book channel (see “October 2025 Circana BookScan”).
