Marvel Comics will show Ultraman the door in a one-shot, The Fall of Ultraman #1, by co-writers Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom, who collaborated on Marvel’s first Ultraman comic (see “The ‘Rise of Ultraman’ #1”), and artist Davide Tinto, who was the penciler for Ultraman: The Mystery of Ultraseven. The Fall of Ultraman #1 will be released on February 11, 2026, with a cover by Netho Diaz.
“Our very first version of the initial pitch for The Rise of Ultraman, our first Ultraman limited series, included an outline of how the saga would end,” Groom said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Now, five years later, that end is here, and it comes bearing the same title as it did in that first outline: The Fall of Ultraman. It’s bittersweet to be saying goodbye to Shin, Kiki, Dan, and the rest of the Ultra Guard — but we’re thankful that we get to give them the send-off they deserve, and give Ultraman a final challenge worthy of both his shining heart and towering stature”
Marvel partnered with Tsuburaya Productions, the owner of Ultraman, on several series, beginning with The Rise of Ultraman in 2020, and in 2024 they brought the character into the Marvel Universe in Ultraman X the Avengers (see “Ultraman to Cross Over into the Marvel Universe for the First Time“).
