Renegade Game Studios will release The Golden Blade, a new Diplomacy game, which will hit retail in May 2026.
This new Diplomacy game is set in pre-WWI, where the great leaders of Europe are vying to be declared The Golden Blade (the most cunning leader). It is a complete standalone game that offers all the strategy, negotiation, and backstabbing from the classic Diplomacy (see “‘Diplomacy’“), except the game plays in 15 minutes per player. There is also no player elimination in the game, so all players stick around till the very end.
The game supports two to seven players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 15 minutes per players. It will retail for $30.
