Deck-Building Game by Martin Wallace and Travis R. Chance
CMON will release Cthulhu: Dark Providence, a deck-building game by Martin Wallace and Travis R. Chance, into retail on November 21, 2025.
Cthulhu: Dark Providence is new version of A Study in Emerald (see “‘Study in Emerald’ 2E“) that utilizes deck-building mechanics. In this game, players take on secret roles of either Cultists, Investigators, or Dissidents with different win conditions. They will then build a deck in order to fulfill their secret agenda by strategically collecting cards while hindering their opponents from gaining resources. There is also a Sanity system in the game where madness can go either way towards advancing or slowing down a player’s march to victory.
This game is for one to five players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 minutes. It will retail for $54.99.
