Renegade Game Studios unveiled G.I. JOE Heroscape, a new miniatures game, which is slated for a March 2026 release.
Much like when Transformers was married to Robo Rally (see “‘Transformers Robo Rally’“), the pairing of G.I. JOE and Heroscape seems like a “Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?” moment. The hex-tiled battlefields of Heroscape are the perfect place for the JOEs to wage their never-ending war against the terrorist forces of COBRA, and it all starts with the Rumble at the Rift Battle Box. This set has everything that two players need to start playing G.I.JOE Heroscape: 8 miniatures, modular hex terrain, COBRA Fortifications, dice, Wound Markers, Order Markers, and all the Army Cards, rules, and scenarios needed. It will retail for $85.00 (painted) and $65.00 (unpainted).
Alongside the release of the Battle Box, Renegade will also release three more expansions: COBRA Troopers & COBRA Flight Pod, Greenshirts & Battle Copter, and Strike Forces. The COBRA Troopers & COBRA Flight Pod and Greenshirts & Battle Copter sets each offer players more troops for the common armies and a vehicle. The Strike Forces set adds Jinx, Kamakura, Lady Jaye, Baroness and the Crimson Twins to the mix. These sets will retail for $50.00 unpainted and $70.00 painted.
