Actress Inanna Sarkis to Co-Pen OGN for Vault

Actress, writer, and director Inanna Sarkis will co-write a new original graphic novel for Vault, Sarkis and the company announced. Sarkis has over 25 million followers across platforms, including 17.4 million followers on Instagram and nearly 4 million on YouTube.

The graphic novel will be co-written by veteran Tim Seeley, with art by Ademir Leal.  The story is set in modern-day San Francisco, where the ancient Sumerian goddess of love and war Inanna emerges from the Bay, leading to “…the tale of a goddess who forgot what she stood for in the pursuit of fame and worship,” as Seeley described it in a statement accompanying the announcement.

Sarkis will soon appear in The Prince, written by David Mamet with Scott Haze, Nicolas Cage, and J.K. Simmons starring, and appeared as Molly in After, but she’s likely best known for the comedy skits and short films she writes, directs, and stars in for her channels. She wrote, directed, and voiced the lead in Realm scripted podcast series Zaya, which debuted at #1 in Apple’s Fiction Podcast chart.

Sarkis is a Canadian actress of Assyrian and Bulgarian descent, and her name is tied to the mythology on which the graphic novel will be based.  “We chose to keep the title Inanna not because it’s my name, but because it belongs to the ancient Sumerian goddess whose mythology anchors this story,” Sarkis said.

The Name She Lost: Inanna Book 1 will be released in May 2026.
