The Game Manufacturers Association announced Game Store Day, a new annual event, that will take place on November 1, 2025.
The new event is part of GAMA’s initiative to support member retailers and their FLGS communities. Retailers can register for the this event on GAMA’s Game Store Day website, and will be able to receive marketing and promotional materials for the event. In addition to the marketing materials, GAMA will also provide prize materials for retailers to give away at the event, including two Origins Family Pass prizes (good for four free, full Origins badges).
“Game Store Day was created to spotlight and support our retail game store members while establishing a day for the industry to celebrate the joy of playing games,” said GAMA Executive Director John Stacy about the event. “Timed with the American Library Association’s International Games Month and the start of the holiday shopping season, it’s a meaningful way to bring communities together and champion local game stores as cultural hubs.”
GAMA also recently hired a new COO (see “ People on the Move: GAMA Hires First COO“).
