Board & Dice will release Thebai, a new Eurogame, into retail in October 2025.
In this game, designed by David Turczi, players are tasked with running the kingdom of Thebes during a time of conflict between King Oedhipus’ sons, Polynices and Eteocles. Players must defend the seven gates of Thebes all while making decisions that increase their power in the city by unlocking new actions. The game features dice worker placement mechanics that revolve around a player-created pool of actions on the main board as well as abilities and combos that can be triggered from individual player boards. It also has a game mode for solo play.
Thebai is for one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 to 110 minutes.
Board & Dice will also release Tianxia into retail (see “‘Tianxia’“).
