Archie Comics and Dynamite Entertainment have made a new deal to produce crossover comics featuring the companies’ characters, kicking off with Archie and Dynamite’s Army of Darkness, the companies announced. The multi-title deal builds on a one-title collaboration on Red Sonja and Vampirella Meet Betty and Veronica, which ran for 12 issues in 2019 and 2020 (see “The Leading Ladies of Archie and Dynamite“).
In the first new collaboration, the Archie gang and Ash Williams will battle the Army of Darkness and the Necronomicon as they lay siege to Riverdale.
“It’s always a blast to collaborate with other titans of the industry,” Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci said of the new deal. “Leading off with the franchise that started it all for us at Dynamite was the perfect choice.”
