Square Enix dropped Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: The Promised Day, a new board game, scheduled to release in April 2022.
This new board game commemorates the 20th anniversary of Fullmetal Alchemist. It is a cooperative game based on Fullmetal Alchemist Bbrotherhood where players take on the roles of iconic characters fromt he series who are attempting to complete the Reverse Transmutation Circle to counter the homunculus’ Countrywide Transmutation circle. The game is scalable, and includes rules for Novice, Hard, and Ultimate challenges as well as a solo mode.
The game box comes with a rulebook, a Central board, a Round board, a starting player marker, 6 Character Summary cards, 6 Character stands, 96 Character cards, 4 Character Life markers, 11 Homunculus cards, 5 Boss tiles, 5 Boss Life markers, 5 Boss tokens, 40 Mannequin Soldier tokens, 30 Mannequin Soldier cards, and 10 Transmutation Bonus cards. This game is for one to four players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 30 to 45 minutes. It will retail for $54.99.
Square Enix also announced Final Fantasy TCG: Opus 16 – Emissaries of Light, which has a tentative release date of March 25, 2022 (see “‘Final Fantasy TCG: Opus 16’“).
