Barb Wire was one of the Comics’ Greatest World characters, appearing in the shared universe imprint launched by Dark Horse Comics in 1993. She was a bounty hunter running a bar in Steel Harbor, an industrial city with gangs and riots. The movie adaptation, starring Pamela Anderson, came out in 1996. The second volume of the title started in 2015 (see “Dark Horse ECCC Announcements“).
The 648-page (6.625″x10″) paperback Barb Wire Compendium will be available in bookstores February 17, 2026, and in comic shops February 18, 2026, at a cover price of $39.99.
