SDCC 2025: Magma Comix reveals its Signings, Panels, and Exclusives

Magma Comix is returning to its hometown show, San Diego Comic-Con International, July 23rd – 27th! Join the Magma team and its roster of talented comic-book creators at booth #1709 for exciting guests, signings, exclusive variants and lithographs celebrating their original slate of titles.

Magma will host a panel Thursday evening, where its creators will look back at the independent publisher’s first year, from its Eisner-nominated series The Pedestrian, to horror titles like The Principles of Necromancy and Day of the Dead Girl, and the magical realism of The Scale Trade.

Each day presents a different schedule of events, including signings by Magma creators Joey Esposito & Sean Von Gorman (The Pedestrian); AJ Mendez (Day of the Dead Girl); Cavan Scott (Night of the Slashers); Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly & Eamon Winkle (The Principles of Necromancy); Megan Huang (The Scale Trade); and Denton J. Tipton (Hell’s Half Acre).

In addition to signings, Magma is stocking debut issues, trade paperbacks, and collector’s items (such as exclusive Event Variants and newly released Metal Cover variants) for sale at its booth, along with the opportunity to snag a Magma Art Lithograph or a Shawn Lee-designed Horror Box Set for the discerning collector.

Meet the minds behind several of Magma’s thrilling titles, including *NEWLY ADDED* AJ Mendez (Day of the Dead Girl), Joey Esposito & Sean Von Gorman (The Pedestrian), Megan Huang (The Scale Trade), and Eamon Winkle (The Principles of Necromancy), as they reflect on their titles and experiences. Magma staff will guide the discussion as they chart the course for the final announcement of the panel!

This year, Magma earned its second overall Eisner nomination, with Joey Esposito & Sean Von Gorman’s The Pedestrian earning a nod for the Best New Series Award. Magma creators, staff and friends will be cheering on the team as a Sponsor of the Eisner Awards from their VIP table.

Magma Comix Metal Covers – Magma is unveiling four HIGHLY LIMITED metal cover comic books highlighting some of the most prestigious and exciting covers it has published in its inaugural year. Only 25 copies of each metal cover will be available throughout the show:
