Recently on this blog we’ve been spotlighting the incredible talents who are providing variant covers for the upcoming July 9th release of ARCHIE MEETS JAY & SILENT BOB, and today we are turning our attention to the kaijutastic work of famed Eisner Award-winning artist/writer Ty Templeton.
Having previously worked with writer Kevin Smith on such projects as Batman ’66 Meets the Green Hornet, this cover is something of a homecoming for Templeton. Jay and Silent Bob have that bull in a china shop aesthetic to them, so Templeton’s art here is a skilled representation of their rambunctious tendencies combined with all the blockbuster appeal of a Godzilla-esque creature feature. Absolutely fantastic stuff!
