Surf’s up, Trainers! Alolan Raichu has arrived in Pokémon UNITE! This Electric- and Psychic-type Pokémon is a regional variant of Pikachu’s Evolution, and it’s ready to shock your opponents. Check out how this Ranged Attacker can dish out damage to weaken the competition before unleashing its Thunderstorm Aerial.
Alolan Raichu Basics
Before it evolves, Pikachu will paralyze all opponents near itself for a short time when it receives damage. This Ability goes on cooldown after it’s triggered.
Alolan Raichu can use basic attacks while moving. When it uses a move or a boosted basic attack, it dashes in the designated direction.
Pikachu’s basic attack becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage. This boosted attack also paralyzes opposing Pokémon for a short time when it hits.
If Alolan Raichu hits an opposing Pokémon with a basic attack or move, its boosted basic attack gauge increases by one. When the boosted basic attack gauge reaches four, Alolan Raichu’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack that deals increased damage and also deals damage to opposing Pokémon near its target (up to a maximum of five Pokémon).
Lv. 1 & 3 Moves
Pikachu releases electricity at the designated opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect. This attack also paralyzes opposing Pokémon for a short time.
Pikachu discharges a weak jolt of electricity in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and leaving them paralyzed for a short time.
Lv. 5 Moves
For a short time, Alolan Raichu’s basic attack speed is increased. The user’s next six basic attacks also launch a star-shaped electric blast that deals additional damage. Stored Power can be upgraded, causing the electric blasts to decrease opposing Pokémon’s Sp. Def. This effect can stack up to three times.
Alolan Raichu hurls an electric orb to the designated location, where it remains for a short time. When an electric orb and an opposing Pokémon touch, the orb releases its electricity and deals damage to nearby opposing Pokémon. A maximum of two uses can be kept in reserve for this move. Electro Ball can be upgraded to deal damage over time to opposing Pokémon hit by this move.
Lv. 7 Moves
Alolan Raichu releases a strong electric blast in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and leaving them paralyzed. If this move hits an electric orb created by Electro Ball, the orb releases its electricity and deals damage to nearby opposing Pokémon. Thunderbolt can be upgraded to leave opposing Pokémon unable to move instead of paralyzed.
Alolan Raichu releases a strong telekinetic force in the designated area, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. If the user hits opposing Pokémon slowed by this effect with a basic attack, it deals additional damage. If this move hits an electric orb created by Electro Ball, the orb is pulled to the center of this move’s area of effect. Psychic can be upgraded to deal damage over time in the designated area for a short time.
Lv. 9 Moves
Alolan Raichu creates a star-shaped zone of electricity in the designated area, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. The zone remains on the field for a short time, deals damage over time, and applies a slowing effect. If the user hits opposing Pokémon in the zone with a basic attack, the user’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.
