Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO on a regular basis. Read on below to learn more:

Fuecoco is the moment in this event featuring event bonuses, a featured attack, research, and more.

Pokémon GO’s March 2025 Community Day is turning up the heat with the Fire Croc Pokémon, Fuecoco! On March 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Fuecoco will be toddling through the wild more frequently, with lucky Trainers potentially encountering a Shiny Fuecoco. Evolve Crocalor, Fuecoco’s first Evolution, at any point during March Community Day or up to one week afterward to get a Skeledirge that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn. And the excitement continues for Skeledirge—starting with this event, the Singer Pokémon will be able to learn the Charged Attack Torch Song.

These March Community Day event bonuses are straight fire.

  • 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
  • 2× chance for Trainers Level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust

March Community Day research opportunities burn bright with Field Research, Community Day Special Research, and Fuecoco Community Day Special Background Timed Research. Tickets for the Fuecoco Community Day–exclusive Special Research are available for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Trainers who complete the research will earn a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three encounters with Fuecoco that have a Seasonal Special Background. As always, event–themed Field Research opportunities are free. Complete tasks focused on catching Fuecoco to earn rewards including Stardust, Great Balls, and more.

And the fun continues even after the event ends, with Fuecoco  Community Day Special Background Timed Research. Trainers who log in during the event will receive access to this research for one week following the event. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time.

We’re excited to announce that Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon, will be featured during March Community Day!

Featured Pokémon

Fuecoco will appear more frequently in the wild.*

*If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

Featured Attack

Evolve Crocalor (Fuecoco’s Evolution) during the event or up to a week afterward to get a Skeledirge that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn.

Blast Burn

  • Trainer Battles: 110 power
  • Gyms and raids: 120 power

Attack Availability Updates

Starting with the event and continuing afterwards, Skeledirge will be able to learn the Charged Attack Torch Song.

Torch Song

  • Trainer Battles: 70 power and increases the user’s Attack by one stage
  • Gyms and raids: 100 power

Community Day Special Research

  • For US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Fuecoco Community Day–exclusive Special Research. Complete the research for even more rewards including a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, additional encounters with Fuecoco, and three encounters with Fuecoco that have a Seasonal Special Background.
  • Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research go live.
  • Don’t forget: you’re now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.
  • To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button.

Tickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal and will not feature a story.

*Certain restrictions apply. Gifting cannot be completed if the recipient has purchased a Special Research ticket or has been gifted one already.

Community Day Special Background Timed Research

Keep Community Day going with a Timed Research opportunity that will last for a week following the event!

Trainers that log in during March Community Day will receive Timed Research that awards an encounter with a Fuecoco that has a Seasonal Special Background. You’ll even have an increased chance to encounter a Shiny Fuecoco when you complete these Timed Research tasks!

Plus, you can evolve Crocalor (Fuecoco’s Evolution) during the week following the event to get a Skeledirge that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn!

Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time.

Event Bonuses

  • 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.*
  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*

*While most bonuses are only active during the three-hour event period, these will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.

Field Research

March Community Day–themed Field Research will be available! Catch Fuecoco to earn rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, additional encounters with Fuecoco, and more!

If you GO out and explore with your community, you may even find Field Research that leads to encounters with Fuecoco that have a Seasonal Special Background—if you’re lucky!

PokéStop Showcases

Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during Fuecoco Community Day!

Event Bundles

Two Community Day bundles will be available during this event.

For 1,350 PokéCoins, you will get 50 Ultra Balls, five Super Incubators, one Elite Charged TM, and five Lucky Eggs.

For 480 PokéCoins, you will get 30 Ultra Balls, one Incense, three Super Incubators, and one Lure Module.
