Spider-Man will face a new adversary, Hellgate, in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man #1, by Joe Kelly, Pepe Larraz, and John Romita Jr., which will kick off a new Spider-Man series (see “Marvel to Launch New Era of ‘Amazing Spider-Man’”). Hellgate was briefly teased in Amazing Spider-Man #65 but will be fully visible for the first time in the new series. Little has been revealed of Hellgate’s background, motives, and methods so far, so his chief characteristic for the moment is his formidable strength.
Amazing Spider-Man #1 will be released on April 9, 2025, with a wraparound cover by Larraz.
