Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Find Rookidee at Magnetic Lures and in Eggs, use Charged TMs to forget Frustration, and more during this hard-hitting event.

Get ready for an event full of hard-hitting Pokémon that are sure to make an impact on your GO Battle League lineup! The Pokémon GO Steeled Resolve event is taking place from Tuesday, January 21, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, January 26, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You’ll see a variety of wild Pokémon that tend to perform well in competitive battles, both in the GO Battle League and at in-person tournaments. Many of these Pokémon will also be able to learn powerful featured attacks during the event!

It’s not just the usual suspects, though. Rookidee and its Evolutions—Corvisquire and Corviknight—are swooping in to make their Pokémon GO debut! You can encounter the Tiny Bird Pokémon from the Galar region by hatching 2 km Eggs or by using a Magnetic Lure Module to attract this steely Pokémon.

During the event, Totodile, Marill, Hoppip, and many more Pokémon that evolve into total battling all-stars will appear more frequently in the wild. Pokémon in italics below have a chance of appearing as Shiny Pokémon!

  • Clefairy
  • Machop
  • Totodile
  • Marill
  • Hoppip
  • Paldean Wooper
  • Shieldon
  • Bunnelby
  • Carbink
  • Mareanie

The following Pokémon will hatch from 2 km Eggs during the event. If you’re lucky, you may hatch a Shiny Shieldon or Mareanie!

During the event, you’ll be able to improve your Shadow Pokémon’s battling chops by using Charged TMs to help them forget Frustration. Certain Pokémon will also be able to learn powerful featured attacks when they evolve. If you want to ensure that your Shadow Pokémon learn these attacks, be sure to use a Charged TM to forget Frustration before evolving them. This is especially important to remember for Shadow Feraligatr and Shadow Quagsire, both of which are popular in the GO Battle League. Evolve any of the following Pokémon during the event to get a Pokémon that knows a featured attack!

  • Evolve Machoke (Machop’s Evolution) to get a Machamp that knows the Fast Attack Karate Chop.
  • Evolve Croconaw (Totodile’s Evolution) to get a Feraligatr that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.
