Dynamax Known Issues

Different Pokémon may appear in Power Spots on the world map for different Trainers.

Issue description: When Trainer is on the world map, Pokémon appearing in Power Spots may be different across different accounts.

Issue status: Investigating

Max Particle effect still appears on Power Spot after Max Particles have been collected.

Issue description: After a Trainer collects Max Particles from a Power Spot, the effect showing there are Max Particles may still appear for a few moments. Max Particles can only be collected once per day from a Power Spot.

Issue status: Working on a fix.

Trainers will be prompted to place a Pokémon at a Power Spot after a Max Battle even if the limit is reached.

Issue description: The “continue” button will not work on the “Pick a Pokémon to place at this Power Spot” page after winning a Max Battle if the limit of placed Pokémon is reached. The maximum Pokémon that can be placed at a Power Spot is 40.

Issue status: Working on a fix. Tap on “Skip” to proceed.

Issue description: A visual issue is causing Pokémon caught without the ability to Dynamax to appear in their Dynamax forms when viewed in the Pokémon inventory.

Issue Status: Investigating

Pokémon stationed at Power Spots count towards Gym Defender maximum

Issue description: Pokémon stationed at Power Spots incorrectly count towards the Gym Defender maximum (20). Trainers who station a Pokémon at a Power Spot may hit their limit of Gym Defenders sooner than expected.

Gigantamax Known Issues

App needs to be restarted after joining a Gigantamax Battle

Issue description: After joining a Gigantamax Battle, the screen suddenly turns black and the Pokémon GO app needs to be restarted. The Trainer is removed from the Gigantamax Battle and must try again.

Issue status: Investigating. No Max Particles are removed from the Trainer’s inventory.

 Max Move repeats on the Trainer’s second turn.

Issue description: When battling a Max Pokémon, Trainers are able to choose a Max Move to use on their turn. The second time they are offered a Max Move, only that same move can be selected. The third turn will allow Trainers to choose any Max Move available for that Pokémon.

Issue status: Investigating.

 Trainer is sent back to the Map View before a Gigantamax Battle has ended.

Issue description: During a Gigantamax Battle, the Trainer is sent back to the World Map before the Max Battle ends. Trainers will have to restart the Max Battle from the beginning and cannot rejoin the original battle.

Issue status: Investigating. No Max Particles are removed from the Trainer’s inventory.

100 Stardust may not be granted when losing a Max Battle.

Issue description: When a Trainer loses a Max Battle, 100 Stardust should be granted as a reward but is not granted successfully.

Issue status: Investigating.

Trainer is sent back to the Map View from the Max Battle lobby before the Gigantamax Battle begins if they are in the lobby at the top of the hour.

Issue description: Trainer is sent back to the World Map from the Max Battle lobby before the Gigantamax Battle begins. The app may need to be restarted before rejoining the lobby.

Issue status: Investigating. No Max Particles are removed from the Trainer’s inventory.

Gigantamax Pokémon cannot be traded.

Issue description: Trainers are currently unable to trade Gigantamax Pokémon.

Issue status: Investigating.
