The five Wicked dolls recently given a “stop sale notice” by Mattel due to the accidental inclusion of the URL for a porn site on the package are widespread on eBay, and are selling at impressive prices. Looking only at completed sale items on eBay, we’re seeing $99.99 as the top price for the Wicked Core Elphaba Doll, which carries a $24.99 MSRP, and $149.99 for the deluxe version, which carries a $39.99 MSRP. Prices considerably lower than those top prices but still well above MSRP were more typical, with a wide range of prices paid.
The five items for which Mattel has issued a Stop Sale Notice, with instructions to remove the items from areas accessible to consumers, are:
- Wicked Core Elphaba Doll
- Wicked Core Glinda Doll
- Wicked Deluxe Elphaba Doll
- Wicked Deluxe Glinda Doll
- Wicked Singing Glinda Doll
The incorrect URL apparently arose from some confusion at Mattel between the Wicked movie website, and a similarly named porn site. The movie opens November 26.
