The new fantasy card game Soularis has launched on Kickstarter, attracting attention as a “Project We Love” from the platform’s editorial team. Set in a world shaped by an apocalyptic event known as the “First Spark,” the game places players in a realm rebuilt after the fall of the Old Gods, now controlled by the corrupted Masters.
In Soularis, 1 to 4 players can choose to cooperate or compete as rebellious heroes on a mission to free Soularis from the Masters’ hold. The Masters, who have taken control over living souls, including Sira—the intended successor to Soularis—harvest souls to sustain their dominance. Players face a choice each turn: either serve the Masters or rise against them, with the goal of collecting 100 souls or drawing the Master’s Soul to confront and challenge the Master directly.
Designed as a strategic, card-based role-playing game, Soularis combines cooperative and competitive gameplay. Players gradually uncover character backstories and game lore, immersing themselves further in its fantasy world.
With $6,310 pledged of its $8,119 goal, Soularis has eight days left to reach its target, with the campaign set to close on November 16.
