Daniel D. Fox Reacquires ZWEIHÄNDER RPG from World of Game Design

SLLSWRD Publishing has announced that Daniel D. Fox, the original creator of ZWEIHÄNDER RPG, has reacquired the license from World of Game Design. This transition brings the game back under Fox’s leadership, with plans for future releases, community content, and further developments.

ZWEIHÄNDER RPG, launched in 2015 through Kickstarter, has gained recognition for its dark fantasy setting. It has also been used as the core system for other RPGs, such as Blackbirds by Ryan Verniere and Fever Knights by Adam Ellis.

World of Game Design played a role in ZWEIHÄNDER‘s recent growth, particularly during 2023 and 2024, by expanding its presence at conventions and within the retail market. The company is continuing to support the transition and ensuring the fulfillment of the ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged Kickstarter.

Daniel D. Fox expressed appreciation for WOGD’s efforts and noted plans to further develop the game. SLLSWRD Publishing will be focusing on new content, an Open Gaming License, and community-driven projects.
