Renegade Engages in Further ‘Diplomacy’

Renegade Game Studios announced Diplomacy: Era of Empire, a standalone board game, for release into retail in September 2025.

Diplomacy: Era of Empire places players in the 19th Century, when Asia was mostly controlled by competing empires. Players assume control of one of the seven great empires during this era: Britain, France, Russia, Turkey, China, Japan, and the Netherlands. This game is powered by the Diplomacy game engine, so players will have to rely on their cunning and wit to determine the outcome of the game.

The game box comes with a game board, 147 double-sided Country tokens (21 each of 7 different countries), 84 wooden Army tokens (12 each in in 7 country colors), 84 wooden Fleet tokens (12 each in 7 country colors), 7 zip bags for storage, a rulebook, a map pad, and quick start rules. This game is for two to seven players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 240 minutes. It will retail for $50.00.

Renegade Game Studios also revealed Battle for the Deep, a new game powered by the Axis & Allies game system (see “‘Battle for the Deep’“).
