The Broken Empires RPG Launches with Sim-Lite System and Expansive Fantasy Setting On Kickstarter

Evil Baby Entertainment has launched The Broken Empires RPG, a new fantasy role-playing game designed by Trevor Devall, the professional Game Master and creator of the YouTube TTRPG channel Me, Myself & Die!. Set in a mid-fantasy world, The Broken Empires invites players to explore a vast landscape filled with adventure, where decisions are made in the heat of conflict. The game uses a Sim-Lite, d100 core system, offering a blend of speed and detail to create immersive gameplay.

The game emphasizes skills-based character development, focusing on player customization without traditional stats, classes, or levels. Travel and combat are designed to involve player decision-making and various outcomes based on choices made during gameplay. The game also includes systems for social interactions, where players’ decisions impact the progression of encounters. Magic is handled through a flexible system that allows for on-the-spot spellcasting, with potential consequences based on game mechanics.

The Broken Empires RPG is currently live on Kickstarter, having raised over $256,000 from more than 2,000 backers, well beyond its original $10,000 goal. The campaign will remain open until October
