Celebrate Halloween with a D&D One-Shot While Supporting Press Pause 2024 Fundraiser

Safe In Our World, a video game mental health charity, has partnered with The Multiplayer Group to launch a Halloween-themed Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) adventure as part of the Press Pause 2024 fundraising campaign. Gamers are invited to participate in the exclusive one-shot adventure, The Gatekeeper, created to support the charity’s mental health initiatives.

The event, taking place from October 25th to November 3rd, encourages players to gather friends and play The Gatekeeper, a one-shot D&D session where participants take on the roles of ghost hunters hired to rid a haunted arcade of its lingering spirit. The adventure is designed to be accessible for both experienced D&D players and newcomers alike.

Bridie Daniels, co-writer of The Gatekeeper, explains;

The Gatekeeper sees players take on the role of a team of ghost hunters hired by the manager of the Press Pause arcade to banish a terrifying ghost that has driven away all the customers. Explore the derelict building, uncover the secrets of its haunted arcade machines, and keep an eye out for The Gatekeeper – a lost spirit determined to protect its high scores!”

Players are encouraged to set up their own fundraising pages via Tiltify and can either host private game sessions or livestream their playthroughs of The Gatekeeper. Safe In Our World will offer rewards for those who raise £100 or more, including custom D&D dice shakers. Additionally, the Legion Gaming Community has donated a Legion Go handheld console for a giveaway during the fundraiser.

Safe In Our World will host a live playthrough of The Gatekeeper on their Twitch channel on November 2nd. The D&D adventure is just one of the many ways to contribute to Press Pause 2024, with participants also welcome to create their own fundraising events, such as gaming marathons or game-a-thons.
