A new family-friendly tabletop RPG, Master of Fables, is now available for preview on Gamefound. Originally launched as Mistrz Baśni in Poland, this game invites players to take on the roles of children who solve problems and embark on adventures through cooperation and creativity—without relying on violence.
Created by Marcin Kubiesa, a veteran Game Master, Master of Fables was developed to provide a child-friendly alternative to traditional role-playing games. Kubiesa, inspired by his experiences playing RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons with his children, wanted to create a game that focused on positive themes such as teamwork, friendship, and not judging others by their appearance.
The game has already found success in Poland, selling thousands of copies and being used in schools, clubs, and even therapeutic settings. It offers a flexible and engaging way for children aged 5-10 to experience imaginative adventures, though older players may also enjoy its storytelling opportunities.
In Master of Fables, players enter the Land of Heroes, a world filled with talking animals, intelligent monsters, and familiar fairy tale elements. Rather than relying on combat, the game’s mechanics encourage players to solve conflicts through peaceful means and creative problem-solving. Adventures are designed with goals like rescuing lost creatures or helping characters resolve personal struggles.
