Have you ever found it interesting how ludicrous some flawed bootleg Pokémon plushies are? Our friends from Ilustradoras Unidas thought about that and created an amazing project called “Deformemon,” bringing together 16 artists to share their versions of iconic bootleg plushies from the internet.
Pokémon Blog had the opportunity to speak with one of the admins of Ilustradoras Unidas and our dear friend, the talented Costanza (C.a.cosas/ An Ordinary Frög), about this exciting initiative.
“I’ve always found those bootleg Pokémon plushies really amusing, especially the flawed ones,” Constanza shared. “It just so happened that while we were organizing the ‘Pokémon Fan: Dibuja Tu Equipo Soñado‘ project, we hit the milestone of 5k followers on Instagram. So, we decided to celebrate this achievement with a fun and short activity related to Pokémon.”
“This activity showed us to let go of the fear of drawing things that might seem ‘ugly’ or silly. And we shouldn’t stress about having the best materials to create something. Sometimes, all we need is a pencil, and that’s it,” they concluded.
