Delicious In Dungeon Manga Box Set Up For Preorder, Releases Just In Time For Holiday Feasts

One of the best anime series of the year is easily Delicious in Dungeon, a delightful fantasy series that’s all about diving into dungeons and turning the monsters therein into scrumptious meals. The first season aired on Netflix earlier this year, and season two is currently in production, but if you just can’t wait for the next helping of episodes, you can see how the story of Laios and crew turns out by reading the original Delicious in Dungeon manga, which wrapped up with Volume 14 back in December 2023. While you can grab each of the 14 manga volumes individually, you can also grab the entire run at once with the upcoming Delicious in Dungeon: The Complete Box Set when it arrives on December 10. Fans can preorder the collection now at Amazon.

If you haven’t heard of it or caught the anime episodes yet, Delicious in Dungeon revolves around the dungeon explorers Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi as they set on a quest to save a comrade and gorge themselves on all the monsters they encounter. There’s an incredible level of worldbuilding in this series, as it goes into exhaustive detail on everything that exists within its pages and it contains numerous recipes for cooking up foul monsters. If you’re a fan of fantasy worlds, dungeon-crawling RPGs, or cooking and culinary arts, chances are you’ll enjoy the series as well.

A very good companion piece to the manga and anime is the Delicious in Dungeon World Guide: The Adventurer’s Bible, which is on sale at Amazon for $16.20 (was $18). The book includes a smorgasbord of illustrations and detailed information about all the characters, plus an encyclopedia of all of the mouth-watering monsters hiding in the dungeon waiting to be turned into lunch.

One of the coolest deals you can pick up is the Nausicaa’s deluxe manga box set for $53 (was $80), which collects the full 59-chapter run in hardcover format. The series was written and illustrated by Studio Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki, and is among his first-ever works. If you’ve seen the movie, then you’ll be familiar with the characters and setting–however, the manga’s storyline extends far beyond the film version, which only accounts for roughly the first 14 chapters of the 59-chapter epic.

Zelda fans can preorder the full manga adaptation of the Twilight Princess storyline with the The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Complete Box Set that launches on September 24. This collection includes all 11 volumes from the manga series, plus a double-sided poster and a sleek collector’s box featuring illustrations by artist Akira Himekawa. Preorders are discounted to just $104 at Crunchroll or $117 at Amazon and $104 at the Crunchyroll Store (normally $130).

Another notable manga set available for preorder is the Sailor Moon: Naoko Takeuchi Collection Box Set. The hardcover set includes launches November 12 and includes first six volumes of the original Sailor Moon manga series, 16 exclusive art cards, and a holographic box adorned with metallic silver ink.
