The tabletop role-playing community has shown strong support for Nathan Bruha, known as The Amethyst Dragon online, through his Kickstarter campaign for “The Amethyst Dragon’s Hoard of Everything.” This 575-page supplement is designed to enhance the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition experience, offering over 1,700 new and innovative options for both players and Dungeon Masters.
The publication introduces a variety of new species and ancestries, including unique takes on elves, dwarves, and dragonborn. It also features an array of new weapons, armor, and gear. Players can explore over 100 new subclasses, new fighting styles, and an extensive collection of over 400 new spells. Additional character enhancement options include new feats, crafting skills, and expanded class options.
For Dungeon Masters, the supplement offers more than 170 new monsters, over 500 magical items, and new game mechanics involving poisons and diseases. The book also provides numerous plot hooks and interesting locations, aiming to enrich the narrative and complexity of gameplay. Additional elements like complex volcano interactions and immersive fantasy foods and drinks are included to enhance the game world.
The campaign has successfully raised over $30,000, doubling its initial goal of $14,500, with contributions from 410 backers. With the funding period closing on September 4th, the book is expected to be delivered to backers in both hardcover and digital formats by March 2025.
