Kickstarter Campaign Announced for Celtic-Inspired RPG Sourcebook “A Faeseeker’s Guide to Avallen”

Adder Stone Games has announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign for A Faeseeker’s Guide to Avallen, a new sourcebook inspired by Celtic history and mythology, set to expand the Legends of Avallen tabletop RPG series.

The sourcebook will delve into the Celtic Iron Age, reflecting the historical era of Roman conquests, and will introduce over 200 pages of new lore and game mechanics. These enhancements include unique Clan Origin and Fae Pact abilities, detailed descriptions of the Celtic Clanlands, the ethereal Faerie Courts, and a tarot deck of Faerie Tricks that is compatible with various gaming systems.

The Kickstarter campaign will offer exclusive rewards such as 11 premium Celtic hero and fae miniatures, available in both resin and STL files for 3D printing. Backers can also expect a multitude of adventure hooks, magical items, and folkloric monsters.

This will be the third Kickstarter for the Legends of Avallen series, following the ENNIE Award-nominated artwork of the previous campaign book, Against the Faerie Queene. The same creative team will be reunited for this project, promising a consistent quality and thematic continuity. The sourcebook is also designed to be compatible with the 5E system.

Early backers of the Kickstarter will have the opportunity to receive a resin miniature of the warrior featured on the sourcebook’s cover, along with bundle deals including other books from the series.

The Legends of Avallen game is known for its Songs of Iron & Stone system, which uses a deck of regular playing cards and focuses on creativity and teamwork. The game narrative allows players to progress from humble beginnings to becoming legends within a mystical, conflict-ridden setting.

For those interested, notifications about the launch of A Faeseeker’s Guide to Avallen can be obtained by signing up at the Adder Stone Games website.

The sourcebook is created by Deren Ozturk, Kurt Samson, and Jasmine Bernhardt, and will be distributed by Modiphius Entertainment.
