Everything you need to know about Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent as a sync pair in Pokémon Masters EX

Pokémon Masters EX, the strategy and battling Pokémon game for mobile platforms, is now available for download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). In celebration of the game’s popularity, special in-game events and rewards are being offered for all players to take part in on a regular basis.

Defend your allies with this Ghost-type sync pair that can tank plenty of damage and heal it back too.

It’s summertime on Pasio, and Acerola is dressing for the occasion with a sailor outfit that features wave accents reminiscent of the big blue. As an iconic Ghost-type Trainer, though, her latest sync pair partner is one that embraces both the open ocean and her supernatural sensibilities. Learn more about everything that Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent have to offer in Pokémon Masters EX!

Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent are a Ghost-type support sync pair that specializes in soaking up damage and healing it all back with a variety of moves and passive skills. Their Trainer move Are You Afraid? increases the Physical Moves ↑ Next effect and Special Moves ↑Next effect of all allied sync pairs by one rank. Additionally, it raises their Water Type and Ghost Type Rebuffs by one rank, making the sync pair uniquely durable against Water-type and Ghost-type moves.

That’s not all—Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent can also restore 50% of their maximum HP with a single use of Recover. Using this move activates their passive skill “Heals” Move: Team Gradual Healing, which applies the Gradual Healing effect to all allied sync pairs when Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent use a move that has the “Heals” effect tag. Whenever this pair’s attack move is successful, they also restore the HP of all allied sync pairs with their passive skill Team Fist Bump 9!

For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent will be available to scout from June 29, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. PDT to July 14, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.

Mallow & Tsareena

Mallow & Tsareena can raise their critical-hit rate but are unable to raise their Attack stat without specific sync grid tiles. This means that they need additional support to deal maximum damage with Trop Kick, Power Whip, and Bold-Flavored Bloom Doom. Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent fill this need easily with their buddy move Shoreline Ominous Wind, which raises their allies’ Attack and Sp. Atk by two stat ranks for each usage. This ghostly duo also passively lowers their opponent’s Attack stat with their passive skill Touch at Your Own Peril. This amplifies Mallow & Tsareena’s passive skill Power Posture, which powers up moves the more the target’s Attack stat has been lowered.

Mallow & Tsareena are available to scout from the general pool of 5★-sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Alola Ticket Scout.

Selene & Decidueye

Selene & Decidueye can raise their Attack stat by up to four stat ranks with two uses of X Attack, but they still need extra help to raise it by the full six stat ranks. Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent fulfill this with their buddy move Shoreline Ominous Wind and provide small stat boosts when on the same team thanks to their shared Alola theme skills. Selene & Decidueye aren’t the bulkiest sync pair either, so they’ll appreciate the extra healing and defenses that Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent can provide.

Selene & Decidueye are available to scout from the general pool of 5★-sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Alola Ticket Scout.

Have some spooky summertime fun, Trainers!
