Pokémon Masters EX, the strategy and battling Pokémon game for mobile platforms, is now available for download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). In celebration of the game’s popularity, special in-game events and rewards are being offered for all players to take part in on a regular basis.
Empower your Flying-type sync pairs with this legendary sync pair combination from the Unova region.
Embrace the forces of nature and leave your opponents feeling wind-burned with the Flying-type tech sync pair Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus and their powerful buddy move, Black Gale Bleakwind Storm. This buddy move targets all opponents, never misses, and increases in power the more Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus’s Physical Moves ↑ Next effect is increased. This move also lowers the target’s Flying Type Rebuff by one rank the first time it’s used in battle, setting up your Flying-type sync pairs to swoop in for even more damage.
If Black Gale Bleakwind Storm isn’t enough to blow you away, this weather wonder of a sync pair also has a slew of powerful passive skills. Their master passive Unova Spirit is at the top of the board—it powers up the special attack moves of all allied sync pairs by 20 percent and reduces special attack damage taken by all allied sync pairs by 25 percent. These bonuses get even better with each other sync pair with the Unova theme skill on your team!
They’re certain to break barometers, too, with their passive skill Season-Turning Power, which raises Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus’s Sp. Atk by four stat ranks when it enters a battle, guarantees that their moves never miss, and turns most successful hits with their moves and sync moves into critical hits.
For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus are available to scout from May 30, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. PDT to July 9, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.
Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus
If you’re a huge fan of Tornadus and Trainers from the Unova region, this combination of sync pairs is perfect for you. Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus can create a Flying Zone with Flying Wish, which powers up Flying-type attacks. This bonus combines with Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus’s Black Gale Bleakwind Storm lowering opponents’ Flying Type Rebuff, stirring up huge damage output from any Flying-type sync pair. Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus also provide move gauge support by raising the Speed of all allied sync pairs with each use of their Trainer move Ready for Takeoff! Their passive skill Aerial Acceleration 3 also quickly charges the move gauge when a Flying Zone is in play.
Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus are not currently available to scout, though they may return in the future!
Falkner & Swellow
Between guaranteed critical hits, lowering the Flying Type Rebuff of their opponents, and raising their own Sp. Atk by four stat ranks, Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus are a Flying-type damage powerhouse. They need additional help to reach their full potential, though, since they can’t raise their Sp. Atk to the maximum six stat ranks on their own. Falkner & Swellow’s Trainer move Soar! raises the Attack and Sp. Atk of all allied sync pairs by two stat ranks, maxing out Cheren (Champion) & Tornadus’s Sp. Atk stat so they can do maximum damage with Bleakwind Storm, Black Gale Bleakwind Storm, and their sync move Wall for Challengers Bleakwind Storm. Falkner & Swellow are also Flying type, boosting the passive skill Unova Spirit.
Falkner & Swellow are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Johto Ticket Scout.
Get ready to take flight, Trainers!
