Ladybug and Cat Noir Series Kicks Off at Family-Friendly Price

Mad Cave’s Papercutz imprint will release Miraculous Chibi: Volume One: Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales, the first volume in its new Ladybug and Cat Noir graphic novel series, at a family-friendly price.  The 64-page 6” x 9” volume will retail for $7.99.

The new graphic novel series, announced last year (see “New ‘Miraculous’ Graphic Novels”), is produced under license from French animation studio Zag, which produced the animated series, the web series, and the feature film. In the U.S., the animated series streams on both Disney+ and Netflix. Season 5 dropped last year, and Season 6 is expected to drop this fall.

Miraculous Chibi: Volume One: Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales, written by Josh Trujillo and Carrie Harris, with art by Lex Hobson and Ryan Jampole, is influenced by the TV show and the chibi art from the Youtube webisodes.  In the story, Ladybug and Cat Noir are hanging out on roofs in Paris, saving the day, and sharing a pizza, when Cat Noir runs off with it.

Miraculous Chibi: Volume One: Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales is for readers ages 7-12.  Street date October 15.
