“Firesiege” developed by Deer Games Studio, has successfully surpassed its funding goal on Kickstarter. The campaign has raised $27,362, well above the initial target of $16,058, with 413 backers and 18 days remaining until its conclusion on May 14.
The game positions players in the besieged city of Medda, where they assume the roles of Valkun Heroes with distinct abilities, tasked with defending their leader Norad from the invading Skreel army.
In “Firesiege,” players deal with limited information and strategic communication challenges. Each participant controls a hero and plays action cards that impact the game positively and negatively—players know only one side of the card they play, while their teammates see the other side.
The game’s objectives vary, including sealing the Skreel Nests, rescuing inhabitants of the citadel, or recruiting Marall mercenaries. These goals are represented by goal cards, which provide different challenges in each game session.
