Launched in 2023, the Warcrow universe has quickly expanded to include two distinct game formats: “Warcrow Adventures,” a dungeon crawler, and “Warcrow the Wargame,” a tactical wargame. Each game offers unique experiences rooted in the same fantasy universe, detailed with rich lore and an enchanting setting. Here are further details on each game.
Warcrow Adventures: A Cooperative Dungeon Crawler
Warcrow Adventures engages players in a cooperative format where teams navigate through various scenarios, battling monsters and solving puzzles to progress through a narrative-driven campaign. This tabletop game is supported by an app that guides the campaign and manages enemy actions. After a successful Kickstarter launch, the game has been released along with two expansion boxes that introduce new characters, enemies, and storylines.
Warcrow the Wargame: Tactical Battle Gameplay
Warcrow the Wargame extends the universe into the realm of tactical battles, where players command armies in 1v1 scenarios. This format draws on the experience of Corvus Belli’s previous successes with tactical games, offering a setup that includes multiple armies and detailed miniatures. The game launches with a Starter’s Battlepack, which provides miniatures, a rulebook, scenery, and all necessary components for initial missions. A narrative campaign is also included to deepen the strategic experience.
Interconnection of the Games
While both games operate independently, they share the same universe. The storyline of Warcrow Adventures serves as a precursor to the events depicted in Warcrow the Wargame, providing background and context to the tactical conflicts. Additionally, the miniatures from the dungeon crawler are compatible with the wargame, with certain exceptions for larger figures, offering players cross-game utility.
Availability
Pre-orders for Warcrow the Wargame are available from July 15th to August 4th, featuring exclusive items such as a special miniature. The release date for Warcrow Adventures in retail stores has yet to be announced, with further updates expected soon.
