Just in time for
the Halloween season comes a Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield in-game competition in which only the
spookiest Pokémon can participate. The aptly named Spooky Cup has Trainers
taking part in Double Battles with their scariest-looking Pokémon partners. As
an added twist, only the final evolved forms of Pokémon can battle—for example,
you can have Crobat on your team, but not Zubat or Golbat. Trainers who
participate in at least one Battle, regardless of whether they win or lose, will
earn 50 Battle Points, so assemble your best team and prepare for a challenge!
The sign-up period for the Spooky Cup in-game competition is from Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 10:00 p.m. until Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.
