The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 2024 Global Challenge II Online Competition is now underway until March 3 at 3:59 p.m. PST, qualifying players who finish three or more matches will be eligible for rewards

Take on other Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet players and earn rewards in this year’s second global challenge.

The time has come to earn Championship Points and test your skills against Trainers from around the world in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games! The 2024 Global Challenge II Online Competition has begun and will continue until Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 3:59 p.m. PST.

This competition is comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon that appear in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet games, including those that appear in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Certain Pokémon may not be used. For the full list of eligible Pokémon, ranking announcements, regulations, and other details, please refer to the in-game Poké Portal News.

After the event ends and results are announced, qualifying players who finish three or more matches with a win or loss during the event period will be eligible for rewards. To view your rankings, follow these steps:

  1. After the competition has ended, launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
  2. Open the X menu.
  3. Select Poké Portal.
  4. Select Battle Stadium.
  5. Select Online Competitions.
  6. Select Previous results.

Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 23:59 UTC

Competition Period

Friday, March 1, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 23:59 UTC

Battle Teams must be registered during sign-up. No entries will be accepted once the competition period has begun.

To register for the competition, follow these steps:
1. Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Poké Portal.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Under Official Competitions, select Search for a competition.

Junior Division: Born in or after 2012

Senior Division: Born between 2008 and 2011

Masters Division: Born in or before 2007

You must finish three or more matches with a win or a loss during the competition period to be eligible for rewards.

• 100,000 League Points
• Gold Bottle Cap ×1
• Ability Patch ×1

This competition will be comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon that appear in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet games, including those that appear in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Certain Pokémon may not be used.

Only one user with one set of save data from either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet may participate per Nintendo Switch™ system. If your Nintendo Account is registered to users on multiple Nintendo Switch systems—even if you play different versions of the game on the different systems—you may participate with only one system per Nintendo Account.

Only one user may participate per Nintendo Account. If you are playing both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet on one Nintendo Account, you may enter using only one of those games. Championship Points will be granted to the top finishing players of the competition only once per Nintendo Account. Participating using both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be considered an act that interferes with the competition. If it is discovered that a player has participated using more than one version of the game, that player can be penalized at any time, including removal from the Global Challenge standings.

Any Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online features. Membership auto-renews after initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Battle data and results will be provided to Nintendo Co., Ltd., and The Pokémon Company (and its subsidiaries).

Players engaging in or exhibiting the following may receive penalties and be restricted from participating in future online events.
• Use of unauthorized methods to alter game save data, use of Pokémon that have data altered via altering code, or Pokémon created through the use of altering code
• Significantly large number of disconnects during battle, from when your opponent has been decided to when the match results have been fully sent to the server (please ensure a stable connection environment when connecting to the internet)
• Troubling behavior that could affect other participants or make others feel unpleasant
• Actions that would obstruct battles and operations, such as hacking
• Registering with incorrect information or impersonating another player
• Using multiple Nintendo Accounts to participate in the same competition
• Intentionally manipulating wins and losses by using multiple devices or sets of save data (or collaborating with others to do so)
• Other actions that operation hosts determine to be inappropriate
